Since December 20th, 2013, March 3rd has been recognized as World Wildlife Day. This worldwide holiday was proposed by Thailand as a way to raise awareness and celebrate the world’s flora and fauna.
This year the theme of World Wildlife Day is, “listen to the young voices.”
To help celebrate her are some stunning products featuring our beloved wildlife.
This is a 1/4 oz gold Panda from China, While Pandas are no longer considered endangered, they are still a vulnerable species that needs to be protected.
Next we have this beautiful 18k gold and diamond tiger brooch.
All four remaining species of tiger are considered endangered, with two of them being critically endangered. This is due to poaching and loss of habitat.
Of all the four remaining tiger species, there are only approximately 3,500 tigers left in the world.
Lastly we have this adorable Baby Elephant pendant made from sterling silver.
While the African Elephants population is rising, it is still considered a vulnerable species, but its cousin, the Asian Elephant is still endangered.
If we don’t all band together to protect these animals, they may not be around much longer. Let’s make sure we all do our part!
