Sterling Silver Five O’ Clock Teaspoon featuring the iconic Diana and Her Nymphs motif (Sterling, 1878), based on the Greek and Roman mythology of Diana the Huntress. Each hefty spoon measures 6 inches with a monogram “P” on the verso. This is a preowned item with some patina and age-appropriate wear. The incredible multi-motif Olympian pattern, which was introduced by Tiffany & Co. in 1878, is the most elaborate and complex of all Tiffany flatware designs. Each piece of Olympian is designed to illustrate a well-known story of Classical mythology. The subjects vary on the different pieces. Edward Moore, designer of this pattern, experienced many exotic cultures and art with his travels, which significantly impacted his designs.
