Presenting a beautiful vintage handcrafted unsigned Navajo PEYOTE BIRD Sterling Silver squash blossom necklace featuring ten extra long handcrafted peyote birds with bold stampwork and filled with Turquoise and Coral crushed / chip inlay along with a unique round peyote bird medallion as the Naja.
Presenting a beautiful vintage handcrafted unsigned Navajo PEYOTE BIRD Sterling Silver squash blossom necklace featuring ten extra long handcrafted peyote birds with bold stampwork and filled with Turquoise and Coral crushed / chip inlay along with a unique round peyote bird medallion as the Naja. The Peyote Bird (also known as the Water Bird) “squash blossoms” are affixed to a double strand of handmade bench beads; strung on durable Sterling Silver foxtail chain and features a traditional fish hook clasp. Its original patina has been well preserved and although unstamped, the necklace has been tested and verified to have silver purity of at least .925 Sterling.
The Peyote Bird is a sacred symbol representing the renewal of life, rainy seasons, rivers, distant travel, distant vision and wisdom and is a key symbol in Native American ceremonies.
