This is a vintage cast iron mechanical monkey bank that comes with a standing organ grinder. The rubber plug for the bottom is missing. The item operates by placing a coin in the monkey’s mouth and pressing down the lever. The animal springs through the air in a quick and fluid motion and drops it into the grinder’s organ. There is some paint wear/loss on the metal base, man, and pet.
