Presenting a stunning vintage 1950’s handcrafted Zuni multi-stone mosaic inlay Apache Ga’an Dancer Sterling Silver bolo tie. The Ga’an dancers represent the powerful mountain spirits friendly to the Western Apache people and each dancer has a unique crown headpiece that embodies different sacred beings. The Gaan Dancer (or Ghan) is comprised of Jet, Turquoise and Coral with an overlay skirt of Mother of Pearl; inlaid into a solid piece of Mother of Pearl shell. Set in a handmade Sterling Silver bezel and bordered with four intricate applique prayer feathers, tiny rosettes and a crown on top (Ga’an translates to “crown”, referring to the elaborate headdresses worn during the ceremonial dance). Accompanied with a black braided leather cord and fluted sterling silver tips.
