Presenting an authentic Old Pawn Navajo 3 Stone Turquoise Sterling Silver cuff bracelet, circa 1950’s. Featuring three natural Kingman Turquoise cabochons set in hand notched bezels; the largest at 32.0mm long with the outer pair measuring 19.0mm long and four large silver raindrops separating the stones. Bold fans grace the shoulders on the open carinated cuff with a twisted wire rope running through the center. The thick gauge cuff bracelet is inscribed with a pair of genuine old pawn marks. The term Old Pawn (aka Dead Pawn) originated from trading posts at the turn of the last century, when Southwestern tribes would pawn personal heirlooms in trade for supplies. Often, these exceptional pieces would go unclaimed, rendering them as “dead pawn”.
