Presenting an incredible Sterling Silver cuff bracelet handcrafted by the award-winning husband and wife Navajo silversmiths Martha (born 1932 – died January 16, 2019) and Gene (Eugene) Jackson (born May 30, 1933 – died October 9, 2021) featuring a cut-out parrot centered amongst rainclouds in a thick, hollow, heavy gauge Sterling Silver cuff.
Gene learned silversmithing at a young age from his father and mastered his craft under the apprenticeship of the legendary Navajo silversmith, Kenneth Begay. Martha learned from and collaborated with Gene for over thirty years, creating numerous award-winning pieces of jewelry. Their son, Tommy Jackson, has become an award-winning artist in his own right.
The sacred Hopi symbol of the parrot reflects the lore of the rainbird as she is surrounded by the life-giving water of the rainclouds.
