These created quite the stir when first discovered as there was speculation as to the cause ranging from die gouges to intentional damage, and since the dies were defaced before an investigation there will always be some uncertainty regarding this issue. Originally released in Tucson AZ they were also found in smaller quantities in San Antonio TX. NGC Cert# 2652187-001
