Presenting an outstanding 1970 “”Mr. Snowman’s Christmas Tree” gold vermeil sterling silver Christmas fork and spoon set designed by illustrator Mogens Zieler for the renowned Anton Michelsen Silversmiths workshop in Copenhagen, Denmark. The snowman hides in the fir tree, with only a pair of blue eyes peeking out through the branches. Since 19 10, various well-known Danish artists and designers have offered their talents to decorate annual Christmas spoons and matching fork sets that merge with the elegance and meticulous craftsmanship of Old Danish design. Each set was made in limited quantities with the dies being destroyed after 1 year. They are both fully hallmarked, are in very good vintage condition with minimal age-appropriate wear but slight wear of the gold wash on the fork. They are not monogrammed. The enamel is in pristine condition with no chips or cracks.
