Presenting a vintage 1920’s Italian round brooch depicting a floral design using the classic Millefiori technique. The base metal brooch features a fine twisted rope border and an open C clasp closure.
Presenting a vintage 1920’s Italian round brooch depicting a floral design using the classic Millefiori technique. Millefiori means “a thousand flowers” in Italian and it is also referred to as Murrine. It is created by glass rods of different sizes and colors are fused and cut into sections to make patterns especially floral designs. It is one of the techniques of Murano glass which is highly sought after. It is one inch in diameter and displays many colors of colored glass for its flowers. The base metal brooch features a fine twisted rope border and an open C clasp closure.
