Today’s coin of the day is this beautiful 1875 S Twenty Cent Seated Liberty.
The Twenty Cent Seated Liberty was minted from 1875 to 1878. The twenty cent piece, because of size and denomination, was only minted for general circulation during 1875 and 1876 while for 1877 or 1878 they are only available in Proof state.
The obverse features a depiction of Lady Liberty seated with a shield and a flag, while the reverse features an eagle with wings outstretched grasping an olive branch and a bundle of arrows in its talons.
This particular coin is in VG-8 condition and would make an excellent addition to any collection.
