Two frogs on a piece of tree

Measures: 5 "� by 5 "'� by 4'�

Condition: Excellent

These two frogs are grasping the tree as well as a little bit of each other in this whimsically created scenario. They have marble eyes, textured skin, and are green with purple spots. It almost makes one think of the Willimantic, CT battle of the frogs that took place in 1754. It took place on a hot summer night, and the people of Willimantic were awakened by 'a shrieking, clattering thunderous roar'� unlike anything ever heard before. The people panicked, prayed, and prepared for whatever they thought was inevitable . When morning came they found the source of the horrific battle sounds. It was a nearby pond which had shrunk to the size of a puddle because of the especially dry summer, and it was surrounded with hundreds of dead bullfrogs.

This is one of several such frog on wood items we have in our inventory. They have patches under their chins where we think they may have been stuffed after being made. They have a little dirty look about them, but then, it may be intentional since frogs do live in mud and water. They will certainly attract attention and elicit comments if you have any of them.
