These small clover dishes were originally created to be ashtrays, but few people used them as such. They have become a versatile, multi-purpose dishes that are now used for placing rings on while washing dishes, for individual servings of nuts or candies, for placing tea bags, and any other small things. The four leaf clover is a symbol of good luck, as well. If you can think up other ways to use them, great. We think everyone should own several of them.
Walter Scott Lenox of Trenton, New Jersey, the ceramics center of the USA in the 1800s, was an artist since his youth founded the Lenox company desiring to build a company with the highest standards of artistry, quality and, of course, beauty.
