We are pleased to offer this Emerald, Cased Clear Glass, Dome Paperweight. It is an unmarked piece that is both decorative and practical. Large enough to use for a stack of papers, yet attractive enough to use alone on any type of desk or work area as a complement piece. Antique paperweights were made primarily in three French factories, between 1845 and 1860, in Baccarat, St. Louis, and Clichy. Weights were also made in the United States, Great Britain, and elsewhere. Bacchus (UK) and New England Glass Company (USA) produced some that equaled the best of the French. St. Louis is producing limited quantities again today. Modern weights have been made from about 1950 to the present.
